Box Score FREDONIA, NY—Buffalo State (6-3-1/2-1-0) netted a pair of first-half goals and held on to defeat Fredonia (2-6-2/0-2-1), 2-1, in a SUNYAC game this afternoon.

Jordan Dudish (Grand Island/Grand Island) tallied her first of the season in the 15th minute and Micky Tinnerman (Salamanca/Salamanca) also scored with less than a minute to play in the first half to give the Bengals a 2-0 lead. Fredonia scored its goal in the 54th minute, but could not find the equalizer.

Fredonia outshot the Bengals, 12-10, and had an 11-1 advantage in corner kicks, including eight in the final 45 minutes.  Linda Banfield (Honeoye Falls/Honeoye Falls-Lima) had three saves in the win, with two of those coming in the second half.

Buffalo State will travel to St. John Fisher for a non-conference game Tuesday at 7 p.m.
