ROCHESTER, NY—Buffalo State (6-4-1) came up empty and surrendered three second-half goals in a non-conference game this evening, falling by a 3-0 count at St. John Fisher (6-7).

The Cardinals outshot Buffalo State 10-2 in the opening half, but the teams went into the intermission locked in a scoreless draw. Despite shots being even at 8-8 in the second frame, the Cardinals pulled away with three unanswered goals.

Linda Banfield (Honeoye Falls/Honeoye Falls-Lima) started the game for the Bengals, but left in the 30th minute with an injury. Freshman Sarah Herzberg (Woodmere/George Hewlett) came on in relief for just her second collegiate appearance, allowing three goals while making five saves.

Buffalo State will visit Oswego for a SUNYAC game on Friday at 4 p.m.
