FARMINGDALE, NY—Shannon Yokopovich (Webster/Webster Thomas) evened the score with a header in the 85th minute to push Buffalo State (0-0-1) to a 1-1 draw against Skidmore (0-0-1) today at the Farmingdale State Tournament.

Skidmore finally broke through with the game's first goal in the 80th minute. Yokopovich, the Bengals' leading scorer a year ago, picked up right where she left off, netting the equalizer just over five minutes later. After a corner cross "pin balled" off of a defender, Yokopovich deposited the bouncing ball into the back of the net.

Each team attempted 15 shots. After the Bengals outshot the Thoroughbreds 12-3 in the second half, Skidmore held a 5-0 advantage in overtime. Linda Banfield (Honeoye Falls/Honeoye Falls-Lima) made four saves for Buffalo State.

The Bengals will conclude the Farmingdale Tournament tomorrow against Emmanuel at noon.
