BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (7-7-4/4-4-1) will make its third-consecutive SUNYAC playoff appearance and fifth in the past six season when it travels to Fredonia this Saturday at 1 p.m. for a quarterfinal contest.  
Buffalo State earned a win and a tie against New Paltz and Oneonta respectively on the final weekend of the regular season to qualify for the postseason as the No. 6 seed.  The Bengals will take on the No. 3 seeded Blue Devils who earned a 1-0 victory at Coyer Field during the regular season on Oct. 4. 
Buffalo State has netted 28 goals as a team this season, its highest total since 2010.  Freshman 
Breanna Knight (Valley Stream/Valley Stream South) leads the team with five goals and 12 points, while senior 
Megan Chapple (Utica/Whitesboro) and freshman 
Tianna Hatch (Endicott/Elmira Free Academy) have four goals each.  Eleven different Bengals have scored at least once this season.  
The Bengals have also just conceded 18 goals in 18 games, which is the third best in the SUNYAC.  
Nicole Torres (Wantagh/MacArthur) has emerged as Buffalo State's starting goalkeeper down the stretch, posting a 0.82 goals against average with a .821 save percentage. 
With a victory, Buffalo State would advance to the SUNYAC semifinals for the third time in four years and would play at No. 2 Cortland on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 1:30 p.m.
