Connor Mergler (E. Amherst/Williamsville North) set a school record in the 100 fly and broke the Kissinger Pool mark in the 50 free as Buffalo State hosted Cortland in a dual meet this afternoon.

NOTABLES- Mergler touched first in the 50 free with a pool record time of 21.16 seconds, and also won the 100 fly with a school standard time of 53.22 seconds.
- Tim Petranchuk (Cheektowaga/Cheektowaga) and Justin Moser (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) also won two individual events apiece for Buffalo State. Petranchuk claimed the 1,000 free (10:51.51) and also won the 500 free (5:16.40). Moser swept the men's diving events with a score of 207.10 on the 1-meter board and 206.25 on the 3-meter.
- The Bengals claimed three individual events on the women's side. Alison Kolczynski (Hamburg/Frontier) captured the 500 free (5:39.46), Michelle DelFavero (Auburn/Home Schooled) won the 100 breast (1:13.69), and Bri Chehovich (Auburn/Auburn) was first in the 1,000 free (12:38.20)
- Buffalo State's men also won a pair of relay events. Mergler joined Matt Ringer (Queensbury/Queensbury), Ryan McHale (Lancaster/Lancaster) and Tom DePasquale (Tonawanda/Kenmore West) to open the meet with a victory in the 400 medley relay in 3:50.13. Then in the final events, Mergler, Ringer McHale and Kyle Siskar (E. Amherst/Williamsville North) were victorious in the 200 free relay (1:29.85).
