Buffalo State women's soccer will host the SUNYAC Championship game for the first time in school history on Saturday at 1 p.m. The top-seeded Bengals will welcome No. 2-seeded Oneonta, seeking their first conference title in school history.
Buffalo State is currently riding a 15-game unbeaten streak (14-0-1) and is in search of its first-ever SUNYAC Championship. The Bengals' boast the second-highest scoring offense in the league, averaging 1.9 goals-per-game, led by
Melissa Smith, who is second in the league in scoring with 26 points (10 goals and six assists). Oneonta is in search of its SUNYAC-best 13th conference championship, most recently winning the crown in 2013. The Red Dragons have the stingiest defense in the conference, allowing just 12 goals in 18 games for a 0.67 GAA, surrendering two goals in a game only twice all season.
Tickets will be sold at the door. Adult tickets are $6, students are $3, and students with a SUNYAC school ID are free.
