Former Bengal Gehen signs pro women's hockey contract with Buffalo Beauts

The Buffalo Beauts of the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL) announced the signing of former Buffalo State standout Erin Gehen to a professional contract.  Gehen joins former teammate Emma Ruggiero who signed with the Beauts back in August.

Gehen wrapped up her four-year playing career with the Bengals in 2018 as Buffalo State's all-time leading scorer with 54 goals and 95 points in 106 career games.  A three-time all-conference player, Gehen helped pace Buffalo State to the conference playoffs three times.

Gehen completed her bachelor's degree in business and spent last season as an assistant coach with the women's hockey program at Elmira College.

The Buffalo Beauts will open their 2019-20 season at Connecticut on Oct. 5 and will play their first home game at their new home the Northtown Center on Oct. 19.
