SUNYAC Playoff Bracket
Buffalo State is preparing for the SUNYAC playoffs for the first time since the 2017-18 season, entering the tournament as the No. 4 seed slated to host No. 5 Oneonta for a quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
SCOUTING BUFFALO STATE…The Bengals closed out the regular season 11-7 in SUNYAC play and 15-10 overall following a record-setting performance against Fredonia in the "Battle by the Lake" contest last Saturday. Buffalo State split the season series with Oneonta this season, cruising to a 73-58 road win on Jan. 25 before dropping a 78-74 home decision to the Red Dragons on Feb. 14.
Buffalo State enters as the second-best shooting team and third-best scoring team in the SUNYAC, led by senior
Liv LeBaron (Corning/Corning East) ranks among the scoring leaders in the NCAA Division III and paces the conference, averaging 22.6 points/game and also leads in steals with 2.8 steals/game. LeBaron is also coming off a record-setting performance against Fredonia on Saturday, in which she scored a school record 41 points, while matching a school record with seven 3-pointers, to move into second on the school's all-time scoring list.

Katie Villarini (Hamburg/Hamburg) is fourth in the SUNYAC in scoring with 15.4 points/game and is sixth in the conference in assists with 3.3 assists/game this season.
Tori Hackett (Canandaigua/Canandaigua) third on the team in scoring with 6.5 points/game and is eighth in the SUNYAC in rebounding with 7.3 rebounds/game.
SCOUTING ONEONTA…The Red Dragons closed out the regular season 9-9 in conference play and 12-13 overall after splitting the recent trip to the North Country, highlighted by a 70-58 win over Plattsburgh in the season finale.

th in the SUNYAC in scoring with 11.5 points/game, while also being seventh in the conference in rebounding averaging 7.5. Senior Casey Hayes is averaging 11.5 points and 6.7 rebounds, while Olivia Allrich is averaging 7.4 points and 3.8 rebounds.
THE POSTSEASON HISTORY…Buffalo State is 0-3 against the Red Dragons in the SUNYAC postseason since the 2010 season, dropping the only previous matchup in the Sports Arena, 50-41, in 2012. After pulling an upset over No. 3 Cortland, No. 6 Buffalo State came up short with a 77-66 loss to No. 2 Oneonta at Geneseo in the most recent postseason meeting in 2018.
WHAT'S NEXT…The winner of Tuesday's SUNYAC quarterfinal contest will advance to the semifinal at Friday, Feb. 28 against No. 1 New Paltz.
TICKETS…Tickets for Tuesday's game will go on sale one hour prior to tip-off and are $5 for adults and $3 for students. Buffalo State and any SUNYAC school students are free with a valid ID.
