BUFFALO, N.Y. – Hannah Heil (Medina, NY/Medina) picked up her second collegiate victory in the 50-yard freestyle, highlighting some strong efforts by the Buffalo State swimming and diving teams as it competed in a home dual meet against The University of Rochester Friday night.

WOMEN'S NOTABLES
- Heil touched first in the 50-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 25.67.
- Heil also finished second in the 100-yard freestyle by a narrow margin with a time of 56.98.
- Maggie Parobek (Amherst, NY/Amherst) earned three second-place finishes, with a season-best time of 2:25.76 in the 200-yard IM, a personal-best 1:05.61 in the 100-yard butterfly, and a time of 1:15.08 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
- Brianna Garcia (Buffalo, NY/Kenmore West) finished second in the 500-yard freestyle (6:13.24), a season-best time.
- Maggie Tripp (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) finished second in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 13:09.16, also a season-best.
MEN'S NOTABLES
- Branden Rivers (Lockport, N.Y./Lockport) scored 18 points to lead the men, earning a 1-meter, six-dive score of 232.10, and a 3-meter, six-dive score of 232.95.
- Zach Nau (Spencerport/Spencerport) placed second in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing with a time of 58.10.
- Sean Mahaney (Alden, NY/Alden) also earned a second-place finish, earning a time of 11:40.69 in the 1,000-yard freestyle.
