BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Buffalo State swimming and diving teams finally returned to action after a long layoff, as the teams hung close with SUNY Brockport on Senior Night.

SENIOR DAY
- The Bengals honored seniors Wesley Van (Ithaca, NY/Ithaca), Zach Nau (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport), James Purpura (Cheektowaga, NY/Cleveland Hill), Ryan Mahaney (Alden, NY/Alden), Sean Mahaney (Alden, NY/Alden), Branden Rivers (Lockport, NY/Lockport), Brianna Garcia (Buffalo, NY/Kenmore West), and Marita Miller (Freeville, NY/Dryden) before the final regular season home contest.
WOMEN'S NOTABLES
- Miller earned a pair of individual wins, touching first in the 50-yard backstroke (30.86) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:07.37).
- Lindsay DeBoth (Amherst, NY/Amherst) picked up a win in the 50-yard breaststroke, winning in a time of 37.28.
MEN'S NOTABLES
- Van won a trio of events, the 50-yard freestyle (23.19), the 50-yard butterfly (25.44), and the 100-yard freestyle (51.82).
- Brandon Garcia (Buffalo, NY/Kenmore West) also won three events, which included a pair of distance events, the 500-yard freestyle (5:37.08) and the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:33.32).
- Nau was also a triple-winner, touching first in the 50- (26.63) and 100-yard backstroke (58.02) and the 100-yard IM (1:00.07).
- Matt Banks (Lancaster, NY/St. Joe's) picked up a victory in the 100-yard butterfly (56.89).
