Swim and Dive To Host Fredonia And Baldwin Wallace

BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State men's and women's swimming and diving teams are set to host the Fredonia Blue Devils and the Baldwin Wallace Yellowjackets in a tri-meet on Saturday. Meet time is slated for 1:00 pm.

Breaking Down The Bengals:
  • The Buffalo State men fell to Ithaca by just 13 points when they meet at the Ithaca Invite earlier this season and are looking to bounce-back this time around.
  • On the women's side, the Bengals beat Fredonia by a score of 156-80.
  • Matt Banks (Lancaster, NY/St. Joes) hold the third best time in the SUNYAC in the 50 fly (25.33) and the eighth best mark in the 100 fly (56.21).
  • Hannah Heil (Medina, NY/Medina) leads the women's side with the second-best mark in the 50 free (25.04) and the top-time in the SUNYAC in the 100 free in 55.62.
  • Heil, Clare Hassett (Harleysville, PA/Souderton Area), and Sadie Pratt-Filker (New York, NY/King Edward VI) each earned individual wins last weekend.
 
Assessing The Competition:
  • The Fredonia men are coming off a dominating win over Hobart and William Smith while the women fell short last weekend.
  • Baldwin Wallace is 3-0 on the men's side, and 4-0 on the women's side to begin the season.
