CORTLAND, NY – The Buffalo State swimming and diving teams opened their mid-season meet tonight at the annual Snow Flurries Invitational hosted by SUNYAC-rival Cortland.

FOR THE BENGAL MEN

• Matt Banks (Lancaster, NY/St. Joe's) had the top finish on the men's side with a third place result in the 200 fly.
• Banks finished with a season best 2:03.76.
• Colby Riexinger (Brockport, NY/Brockport) had a fifth place finish with a season best 59.95.
• The men are currently holding fifth place of seven.

FOR THE BENGAL WOMEN

• The 200 medley relay team of Claire Kasinski (Lancaster, NY/St. Joe's), Maggie Bilquin (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls), Sadie Pratt-Filker (New York, NY/Kind Edward VI), and Julia Purpura (Buffalo, NY/Cleveland Hill) opened the meet with a third place finish and a time of 1:58.22.
• Purpura would later go on to earn a second place finish in the 50 free with a time of 26.42.
• Maggie Parobek (Amherst, NY/Amherst) finished third in the 200 fly with a season best time of 2:26.97.
• Parobek and Bilquin teamed up with BB Garcia (Buffalo, NY/Canisius College) and Clare Hassett (Harleysville, PA/Souderton Area) to finish third in the 800 free relay.
• The women currently sit in fourth place of seven.

The Bengals will return to action tomorrow for two more sessions of the meet beginning at 10:00 am and 5:00 pm, respectively.
