Swimming and Diving teams earn CSCAA Academic Honor

Bengal programs named to Spring Scholar All-America Teams

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Buffalo State men's and women's swimming and diving teams were once again lauded for their its academic prowess in the classroom, as both teams were honored by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a Spring Scholar All-America Team.
 
The Bengals are two of 731 teams from 441 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2022 semester. Teams were selected on the basis of their semester grade point averages (3.0 GPA and higher) and represent 17,845 student-athletes.

The women led all Bengal programs, earning a 3.64 grade point average during the spring semester (3.63 cumulative), with the men not too far behind with a 3.29 grade point average (3.25 cumulative). Buffalo State is one of four State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) institutions that earned honors on the men's and women's side, joining Brockport, Geneseo, and Oneonta. The Bengals earned the highest team GPA in the conference on both sides.
