Football Unveils 2023 Schedule

BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State football team, led by head coach Lazarus Morgan, has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2023 season. The Bengals will have a traditional 10-game schedule with six at Coyer Field and four on the road. Buffalo State will also have six conference matchups in the Liberty League.

To kick-off the season, Buffalo State will host SUNY Brockport on Thursday, August 31 for the annual I-90 Bowl, also the first Thursday football contest in Buffalo State program history. The Bengals follow the opener up by hosting The Apprentice School on September 9 on a traditional Saturday afternoon kickoff. The Bengals will then head to Dean College on Sept. 16 to battle the Bulldogs before heading into their bye week. Buffalo State will then finish the month of September with its Homecoming Game on Sept. 30 against the University of Rochester, also the Liberty League opener.

For the month of October, Buffalo State will open the month with back-to-back road matchups with Hobart College (Oct. 7) and RPI (Oct. 14). The team will then host Hilbert on Oct. 21 before traveling to Ithaca on Oct. 28 to battle the reigning-Liberty League Champion Bombers.

Buffalo State will wrap up the regular season with two home contests in November, hosting Union College on Nov. 4 and St. Lawrence University on Nov. 11 for Senior Day.
