CALDWELL, NJ – The Buffalo State acrobatics and tumbling team dropped a tough decision to Caldwell by a score of 204.675-160.840 in the penultimate meet of the year on Wednesday afternoon.

THE RUNDOWN
- Caldwell jumped out to an early lead after the compulsory event, scoring 25.800 points in the compulsory event while the Bengals scored 20.100 points.
- The best heat for Buffalo State in the event was the pyramid heat, with the Bengals tallying their best score in program history with 9.000 points thanks to excellent work from the pyramids topped by Carmela Capizzi (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) and Lucy Ingro (Newfane, NY/Newfane).
- The Bengals also scored 8.350 points in the compulsory toss heat.
- Buffalo State earned the win in the Acro event for the second straight meet, winning two of the three heats for a 22.050-21.700 edge in the event.
- Jackie Heyden (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island), Caitlin Wilhite (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster), and Adrienne Gardner (Fairfield, CA/St. Patrick-St. Vincent) teamed up with Ingro and Capizzi for a score of 8.250 in the five-element acro heat.
- At halftime the Bengals trailed by under seven points at 74.100-67.700, as Buffalo State had scores of 8.950 in the inversion pyramid and 8.650 in the open pyramid heats.
- The Cougars extended their lead out of halftime, and used a strong showing in the Tumbling event to build the lead.
- The highest score for the Bengals in the event came in the open heat, with Buffalo State scoring 8.075 points.
- Caldwell secured the victory with a solid performance in the Team event, while Buffalo State was unable to mount a comeback.
