Acrobatics and Tumbling set for Second Home Meet against Azusa Pacific

BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State acrobatics and tumbling team hosts Azusa Pacific in the second home meet of the season for the Bengals on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 pm from the Sports Arena.

EYES ON THE BENGALS
  • Buffalo State enters with a 0-2 record after being defeated by Notre Dame College on Sunday evening on the road.
  • The Bengals have achieved a high overall score of 123.400 this season.
  • Buffalo State has a total of three heat victories in the two meets this season, one against Trine and two against Notre Dame.
 
THE TERRIFIC AZUSA PACIFIC
  • The Cougars come into the week ranked fifth in the nation with a 2-1 record. Most recently, Azusa Pacific fell to fourth-ranked Gannon by a score of 270.905-258.625 on Tuesday.
  • The Cougars have reached the NCATA Championship Tournament in each of the 12 years as a program, with one national runner-up finish in three seasons under head coach Kara Willard.
  • The top score of the season for Azusa Pacific is 278.37, achieved in a victory over Hawaii Pacific on February 17.
