BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State acrobatics and tumbling team finished off the regular season this afternoon but ultimately fell short against Stevenson University with a final score of 197.675-181.760 at the Sports Arena. The Bengals also recognized
Lindsay DeBoth (Amherst, NY/Amherst) post-competition in celebration of Senior Day.

THE RUNDOWN
- Stevenson jumped out to an early 23.50-19.75 lead following the compulsory event.
- Buffalo State outscored the Mustangs in the toss heat of the event with a program-high score of 9.05.
- The Bengals bounced-back in the acro event taking the win with a score of 22.45-22.40.
- Buffalo State's best heat in the event of the 7-element where the team of Lucy Ingro (Newfane, NY/Newfane), Bri Rohrer (Cheektowaga, NY/Depew), Adrienne Gardner (Fairfield, CA/St. Patrick-St. Vincent), and Jackie Heyden (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) scored a total of 7.65.
- To close out the first half, the Mustangs took a narrow event win in the pyramid with an event final of 23.95-23.35.
- At halftime, Stevenson carried a close 69.85-65.55 lead.
- Coming out of the break, the Bengals had a strong showing in the toss event scoring 23.05 points while facing just 3.10 points in deductions, their lowest deduction total of the competition.
- In the tumbling event, the trio pass heat of Heyden, Rohrer, and Charmiya Dozier (Baldwinsville, NY/CW Baker) earned the heat win scoring 5.650 points.
- Gardner also won her heat in the tumbling event scoring 7.175 in the six-element pass.
- To close out the afternoon, Stevenson won the team event to secure the win with a score of 68.00 while Buffalo State scored 57.76.
- The Bengals' team event score as well as their overall meet total, 181.760, were both program-highs.
