BUFFALO, NY - The Buffalo State football team, led by third year head coach
Lazarus Morgan, unveiled its schedule for the upcoming 2024 season on Wednesday afternoon. The season will entail the typical total of 10 games, five home at Coyer Field, and five away. Buffalo State will also have six conference matchups in the Liberty League.
Buffalo State will start the season off on a Thursday night for the second straight year, traveling to Brockport on Sept. 5th, looking to secure the I-90 Bowl trophy. The home opener will be a little over a week later on Sept. 14th against Hilbert, where the Bengals are looking to go for two straight wins after last year's 44-12 win over the Hawks. The Bengals then will have a bye before taking on Alfred State for another home matchup on Sept. 28th. October 5th will be a huge game for the Bengals, traveling to Mercyhurst to take on the Division I Lakers.
To start the Liberty League schedule, Buffalo State will be home to face off against Hobart on October 12th. They then will face Union on the road (Oct. 19), before taking on the reigning Liberty League Champions, Ithaca Bombers at home (Oct. 26).
To close out conference play the Bengals will travel to the University of Rochester on November 2nd, before coming home to play RPI for Senior Day on November 9th. The final conference game of the season will be played away at St. Lawrence on November 16th, the fifth consecutive season that these teams will meet to close out the regular season.
