Acrobatics & Tumbling Finishes Regular Season Against #12 Duquesne

PITTSBURGH, PA – The Buffalo State acrobatics and tumbling team fell short against the #12-ranked Duquesne Dukes this afternoon with a final score of 260.760-197.550 at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.

The Bengal Breakdown
  • The Dukes jumped out to an early 37.10-23.30 lead after the compulsory event. The Bengals best performance in the event was in the pyramid heat which scored a 9.20 and face just .80 points in deductions.
  • Buffalo State continued to have a strong showing in the acro and pyramid events facing just 4.75 points in deduction across the two events. The Bengals trailed 93.70-73.85 entering halftime.
  • Coming out of the break, Buffalo State continued to perform well scoring 23.80 in the toss event. Their best heat was the 450 Salto where they scored a 8.30.
  • The Bengals scored 36.60 in the tumbling event and 63.30 in the team event to round out their regular season schedule.
  • Buffalo State's overall point total of 197.550 is the best in program history.
 
UP NEXT
The Bengals return to action beginning on Thursday as they will host the NCATA Division III Tournament in the Sports Arena.
