Acrobatics & Tumbling Falls In Season Opener At Canisius

BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State acrobatics & tumbling team dropped their season opener at Canisius this afternoon with a final score of 231.100-195.195 at the Koessler Athletic Center.

THE BENGAL BREAKDOWN
  • Canisius jumped out to an early lead following the compulsory events. The Bengals scored 9.050 in the toss heat for their best showing of the event.
  • Buffalo State then scored a 24.15 in the acro event before closing out the first half with an inversion heat win in the pyramid event with a score of 8.500.
  • Coming out of the break, the Bengals scored an event total of 23.60 in the toss event. Canisius had an impressive showing in the tumbling events as they looked to carry the momentum into the final team event.
  • The Bengals closed out the meet scoring a 62.720 in the team event to bring their final score to 195.195.

The Bengals return to action on February 28 as they will battle Gannon and Trine in a road tri-meet.
