BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State swimming and diving teams head to Oswego this afternoon for the final dual meet of the 2021-22 season. Yesterday, the men's and women's teams were honored by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a Fall Scholar All-America Team.
Eyes on the Bengal Women
-The Bengals carried a cumulative 3.54 GPA for the fall semester in earning their place on the All-America team.
-Buffalo State is coming off a loss to Brockport in a dual meet on Friday evening at Kissinger Pool.

Marita Miller (Freeville, NY/Dryden) earned victories in the 50-yard and 100-yard backstroke with times of 30.86 and 1:07.37.

Lindsay DeBoth (Amherst, NY/Amherst) was victorious in the 50-yard breaststroke.
Eyes on the Bengal Men
-The men finished the fall semester with a 3.15 GPA, and Buffalo State was one of just two SUNYAC programs to have both the men's and women's teams named Academic All-American.
-Buffalo State lost a close contest to Brockport on Friday evening, falling 119-112.

Wesley Van (Ithaca, NY/Ithaca) was a triple winner, taking first in the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle, and the 50-yard butterfly.

Zach Nau (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) also won three events, winning the 50-yard and 100-yard backstroke, and the 100-yard IM.
A Look at the Lakers
-The Laker women enter tonight with a 3-4 record, while the men sport a 4-3 record after victories in a pair of dual meets at Roberts Wesleyan College on Saturday.
-Grace Parente took first individually in the 100-yard and 200-yard butterfly, and helped win the 200-yard medley relay.
-Matt Rolph won three events for Oswego, winning individually in the 100-yard butterfly and also being part of two winning relay teams.
The History
The Oswego women hold a 12-1 edge over Buffalo State, including victories in seven straight meets. The Laker men have won all 13 meetings with the Bengals all-time.
