BUFFALO, NY – Hannah Heil (Medina, NY/Medina) bested her previous personal-best in the 50-yard freestyle on the way to a third-place finish to lead Buffalo State on Thursday evening at the SUNYAC Swimming and Diving Championships.
RESULTS
FOR THE BENGAL WOMEN
- Heil finished in 24.19 seconds in the 50 Free on the way to a podium finish after placing fifth in the event last year.
- Heil beat the time minutes later, leading off the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 24.11 seconds.
- Heil, Maggie Parobek (Amherst, NY/Amherst), Hailey Hankinson (N. Tonawanda, NY/N. Tonawanda), and Julia Purpura (Buffalo, NY/Cleveland Hill) teamed up for a fifth-place finish in the 200 Free.
FOR THE BENGAL MEN
- Matt Banks (Lancaster, NY/St. Joe's) set a personal-best time of 2:04:57 in the morning session to qualify for the B-Final of the 200 IM, and finished 14th in the night session.
