BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo state men's and women's swimming and diving teams will travel to Ithaca College this weekend for the annual Ithaca Invitational. They will see the likes of Ithaca, Hobart/William Smith, and SUNYAC rivals Fredonia and Brockport. Meet time is scheduled for 1:00 pm.

Breaking Down The Bengals:

• The Bengals will look to continue the positive momentum after a strong showing against a tough Alfred State team last weekend.
• This weekend will also be the Bengals first look at SUNYAC competition.
• Last season, the Bengals men defeated Fredonia, but fell just five points short of passing Brockport.
• The Bengal women fell just short against Fredonia and took the loss against Brockport.
• Matt Banks (Lancaster, NY/St. Joe's) and Colby Riexinger (Brockport, NY/Brockport) each earned individual wins last weekend against Alfred State.
• For the women, Hannah Heil (Medina, NY/Medina) earned two first place finishes and Maggie Bilquin (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) also snatched a win.

 
Assessing The Competition:

• Ithaca, Brockport, and Hobart/William Smith will all be racing for the first time this season.
• Fredonia opened their season with a 79-79 tie against Pitt-Bradford last Saturday.
