BUFFALO, N.Y. – Ella Wittman (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Springville Griffith) of the Buffalo State women's volleyball team and Addy Williams (Grapevine, Texas/Grapevine) of the Buffalo State women's soccer team have been named Bengal Athletes of the Week for their standout performances this past week.

Wittman, a junior Journalism major, has been a consistent presence on the Bengals' attack throughout the season. As the women's volleyball team split its two matches of the week, Wittman led Buffalo State in both contests with 16 kills apiece, while adding 17 digs against Oswego and nine digs against SUNY Canton on the defensive end.

The Bengals begin a three-match road stretch this weekend, starting Friday when they travel to Plattsburgh State to face the Cardinals at 6 p.m.

Williams, a junior Speech Pathology major, had a stellar week in goal for the Bengals. Against SUNY Oneonta, Williams recorded seven saves to help secure a shutout victory, then followed up with nine saves in a 1–1 draw against New Paltz.

With two matchups remaining in the 2025 regular season, the women's soccer team will look to build on its strong play tomorrow afternoon, hosting the Oswego State Lakers on Coyer Field at 3 p.m.
