-Ran cross country and track while attending Buffalo State. 

-Helped Buffalo State defeat Dartmouth and Colgate in 1948. 

-Was the first scoring member of the Buffalo State team that finished fifth at the National AAU 10,000 meter Cross Country Championship in 1949.
