Buffalo State University Athletics

1979-1983 

- Earned NCAA All-American honors in 1980, 1982, and 1983. 

- Winner of the Bengal Award in 1979-1980. 

- He also received the Hube Coyer Award in 1982. 

- During his career, Neil set four school indoor records and was nationally ranked in the 400 meter run. 

- He was a member of the NCAA 1600 Meter championship relay team in 1983. 

- Won SUNYAC indoor championship in the 400 meter in 1981 and 1982 and outdoor championship in the 200 meter. 

- Was a member of Buffalo State’s New York State Track and Field Championship in 1980 and 1981, where he was the individual champion in the 400 meter run both years and a member of the 4x400 meter relay in 1981.
