-Ranked eighth on Buffalo State’s all-time scoring list with 1,247 points.

-John was the starting center on the 1982-1983 team that earned a number one national ranking after a 10-0 start over teams such as 
Division 1 Canisius and Niagara. 

-He helped the Bengals to SUNYAC Championships in 1984 and 1985. 

-During his four seasons he amassed an 81-24 winning record.
