• Omar played four seasons as a linebacker with the Bengals’ football team from 1997-2000

• Omar helped the Bengals to a 31-12 record

• During his playing days, the Bengals earned two NCAA playoff appearances and two ECAC Bowl Championships

• He holds the school records for tackles in a game (25) and in a season (151)

• During his career at Buffalo State, Omar had 27 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and four interceptions

• He was named USAFootball.com First Team All-American, Don Hansen’s Football Gazette Second Team All-American and Hewlett-Packard Honorable Mention All-American as a senior

• Omar was also First Team All-Region, an ECAC Upstate All-Star, and two-time ECAC Upstate Defensive Player of the Week
