    - Born in Binghamton, NY 
- Attended Williston Academy in Easthampton, MA 
- Still holds the Buffalo State school record for the 50 and 100 freestyles, set in 1974, of 21.60 and 47.80, respectively. 
- Also holds school record in 100 butterfly, set in 1974, at 53.30. 
- His fourth-place finish at the 1974 NCAA Division II Championships ranks as the highest place finish ever for a Buffalo State swimmer in that championship. 
- Was SUNYAC champion and All-American  in 1974 in the 50 free, 100 free, 100 butterfly and the 400 free relay 
- Bengals won the SUNYAC Championships in 1974 and placed 19th at the NCAA Division II Championships 
- Transferred to Buffalo State after a successful two-year career at Alfred Tech where he was a 10-time JUCO national champion and was later inducted into the school’s athletics Hall of Fame. 
- Continued his swimming career after graduation and recently won the U.S. Masters Swimming regional and national competitions
